About the role
Our trade finance division provides structured capital to licensed exporters of gold, cobalt, tin and tantalum. As a Trade Finance Officer you will originate and structure facilities, working directly with clients on their transaction documentation.
What you will do
- Originate and structure pre-export, PO and refinery-gate facilities
- Review offtake contracts, licences and export documentation
- Work with legal and compliance on KYC, AML and sanctions screening
- Monitor facility drawdowns, shipments and repayments
- Build relationships with exporters, refiners and correspondent banks
What we are looking for
- 5+ years in structured trade or commodity finance
- Experience with LC, SBLC and documentary collection instruments
- Working knowledge of AML and sanctions compliance in commodity trade
- Willingness to travel in the region
Nice to have
- Prior experience with precious metals or critical minerals
- French or Swahili language skills
