1. Our commitment
Access to financial services is a right. We design our website and mobile app to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control or other assistive technologies.
2. Standard we follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This is the international standard used by financial institutions worldwide.
3. Measures we take
- Semantic HTML so assistive technologies can interpret the page structure correctly.
- Colour contrast that meets WCAG AA — at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
- Keyboard navigation — every interactive element can be reached and used with a keyboard alone.
- Visible focus indicators so keyboard users always know where they are.
- Text alternatives for images and icons that convey meaning.
- Resizable text up to 200% without loss of content or function.
- Captions and transcripts on video content we publish.
- Consistent navigation across the site.
- Error identification on forms — errors are described in text, not just colour.
4. Conformance status
The site is substantially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Substantially conformant” means that most requirements are met, but some content does not yet fully conform. We are actively working to close the remaining gaps.
5. Known limitations
- Some PDF documents linked from this site may not be fully accessible. We are migrating them to accessible HTML.
- Older marketing videos may not yet have captions. New videos are captioned from launch.
- A small number of third-party embedded components (for example, map widgets on the branch finder) may not meet AA. We are working with our providers to improve them.
6. Feedback and contact
If you experience an accessibility barrier — on our website, in our mobile app, or in a branch — please tell us. We welcome reports about specific pages, features or documents.
Write to our contact team with the subject “Accessibility”, or call the phone number on that page. We aim to respond within five working days.
7. Enforcement
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can raise the matter through our complaints process, or contact the regulator for your region — see the bottom of this page.
8. Assessment approach
We assess accessibility through a combination of self-evaluation, automated testing tools, and periodic third-party audits. Our most recent assessment was carried out in January 2026.
9. Staff training
Our product, design and engineering teams receive annual training on accessible design and development. Our customer-facing staff are trained to support customers who need assistance with our digital services.
