About the role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day compliance operations of Jahihi Rwanda, ensuring we meet the requirements of the National Bank of Rwanda and the local data protection authority.
What you will do
- Perform KYC, PEP and sanctions screening for new customers
- Maintain the AML monitoring programme and investigate alerts
- Prepare regulatory reports and file them on time
- Train staff on AML and data protection obligations
- Liaise with the regulator during examinations
What we are looking for
- 3+ years in compliance or risk in a regulated financial institution
- Strong understanding of AML/CFT requirements in East Africa
- Experience with screening tools and case management systems
Nice to have
- Professional certification such as CAMS, ICA or equivalent
- Experience across multiple East African jurisdictions
