About the role
You will design the interfaces that tens of thousands of customers use to save, borrow and run their businesses. Our bar for clarity is high, and most of your work will be judged by whether it makes cost and risk more visible.
What you will do
- Design end-to-end flows for consumer and business banking
- Run user research with customers across our six markets
- Maintain and evolve the Jahihi design system
- Work closely with engineering through implementation
- Champion accessibility across the product
What we are looking for
- 5+ years designing digital products, ideally in fintech or banking
- Portfolio demonstrating complex flows, not just visuals
- Comfortable with design systems and component libraries
- Based in East Africa or willing to work our time zones
Nice to have
- Experience designing for low-bandwidth or offline-first contexts
- Familiarity with WCAG 2.2 AA
